Vanilla vanilla vanilla is the magic word of this wedding.

Shame about the weather yesterday - in what i would imagine to be an otherwise perfect day. . .

Multilayer cake of peanut butter, chocolate and honey cake. Peanut butter frosting and smothered in rich chocolate ganache and then finished off with leafy green buttercream.

Can you tell that the birthday girl like's peanut butter? Oh and LOTR of course...

A little bit unorganised this week I have to say. So many changes happening around me that its a little hard to keep up. We managed to bake the cakes and have them cooled and soldiered on with the decorating. Piping grass is actually quite time consuming and straining.

Ideally would have liked to see more colours on the cake - in the form of mini flowers but it is what it is.

Not bad??

We haven't done this in a while! This cake is in preparation of a "Hobbit" themed birthday coming up! Costumes, themed food and activities. Just like a kid's birthday.

Here goes...

Ingredients:
3 ½ C self-raising flour
1 ½ C sugar
1 C honey
250 g butter, melted
2 T canola oil
6 eggs
300 g sour cream

2.      Combine butter, honey, sour cream and eggs until well combined.
3.      Sift in flour mixture and stir until just combined
4.      Spoon into prepared pan and bake in preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until cake springs back lightly when touched.
