Albeit we've had a rather mild winter, the weather has literally spiked up a few degrees since entering the ninth month of the year. HELLO warm weather, sunshine and early mornings!
So decided to make (okay, so was approached by a client) to make an ice cream cake. First ever! In double chocolate & mint choc chip. So we had twin layers of mint choc chip ice cream with a chocolate biscuit base followed by the softest layer of chocolate sour cream cake you can think of. And then finished with whipped dark chocolate ganache. Sound good??
Did lose a few winks of sleep worrying about delivery but all was well. Cooler bags and techni-ice work a treat!
We've got the next two weekends off... scheduled for further learning (my brain is like a sponge... osmosis...) and then a wedding the weekend after. Don't worry, that won't stop us from baking...! :)
