Looks fugly (and yes, was criticised about having the JP flag above the US but I digress). Tasted amazing. Matcha cake with 70% cocoa dark chocolate icing.

Another one that was for the office. I had to get a cab to work that day because it was that heavy and that hot outside. Cake was for two farewells... one heading to each of the countries. Wasn't very pleased with this overall cause it looks so ugly.

Had a friend staying with me at the time so I really didn't have much time to think about this ... creation. Let's just say it's from outta space and leave it at that!

Deceptively easy and a super cute cake! Can't decide between white and dark chocolate? This cake has both as well as 6 amazing layers of crowd favourite Red Velvet Cake.

And you can do it for Easter or Birthdays or... a farewell.

So the office (my level in the very least) now knows what it means when there is a 'Wynnie' cake around. And eventhough this was an exclusive invite only event, we seemed to have so many additional mouths to feed.

Coming up next... an Aussie favourite dessert in CAKE form!

A beautiful day for a beautiful wedding overlooking Sydney Harbour.

Double tiers of both White Chocolate Passionfruit & Hazelnut Dark Chocolate complete this cake. These are gourmet flavours and on our favourites list! Sharp edges to highlight the cake (alas, if only we could make them all perfect like those you see in wedding magazines), large flower on top and ribbon to accentuate. The stenciling definitely brings a more traditional and elegant theme. White & gold ribbon is in stark contract to the black ribbon we had on our 3-tier cake in November. Elegance versus Chic one could say.

Another busy week coming up. Christmas baking and Birthday cakes are calling. Time to finish with a big bang!

I still remember all those years ago when it was 21st after 21st every weekend. And the years may go by but people will always celebrate this rite of passage.

This weekend was no different and we made mini cupcakes (red velvet and dark chocolate peppermint) cupcakes and an awesome two-tier dark chocolate peppermint cake for a Christmas in July themed 21st.

It was a huge hit! Very pleased with our little fondant figurines: the christmas tree with the gold star, jolly santa claus, rudolph and of course a snowman! Lots of fun to make and am sure they attracted lots of attention on the night!

The matching mini tree cupcakes and snowflakes helped feed the crowds too :)
